CosPlays Got Talent Contestant

We are always trying to offer something new for our fans, so this year we are taking the concept of America’s Got Talent and bending it a little to celebrate our CosPlayers, by capitalizing on the Play in CosPlay!

Introducing for the very first time “Cosplays Got Talent!”, sponsored by Raleigh Llama Productions.

Blending a traditional talent show with the fun of CosPlay, the contest will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on the Main Stage in the ballroom of the Crown Expo Center. Contestants must be pre-registered (registration link will be provided shortly). Performance will be limited to no more than three minutes, not including interaction time with the judges. Contestants will be able to register in one of the following categories.

Categories for the “CosPlays Got Talent” Event

•         Musical (includes all Instrumental or Vocal Performances)
•         Dance (includes all Individual or Group Performances)
•         Voice (includes all Spoken Word or Poetry Performances)
•         Entertainer (includes all Comedy or Magician Performances)
•         Theatrical (includes all Skits and Creative Acts)

Further definition will be included in the registration link, as will the judging criteria.

There will be $2500 worth of CASH prizes, as follows:

•         Category 1^st Place: $250
•         Category 2^nd Place: $100
•         Category 3^rd Place: $50
•         Best in Show: $500

The Best in Show Award must be one of the Category Winners, so that means the best act of the evening will walk away with $750!

Some hints to success – Know your CosPlay. If it is a known character, know their background. Tailor your performance to that character, or group of characters. If it is an original character, be prepared to give some backstory. This isn’t talent in costume, this is CosPlay’s Got Talent!

All contestants must have tickets to Fayetteville Comic Con. Tickets go on sale September 18^th online and at the Crown Box Office.

In consideration for permission to provide floor space to exhibitors, vendors, artists, performers, celebrity talent, agencies and/or organizations as part of the Fayetteville Comic Con Fall 2023 Show sponsored by Raleigh Llama Productions, Inc. DBA Fayetteville Comic Con, Inc., being held at the Crown Expo Center, 1960 Coliseum Dr, Fayetteville, NC 28306 including October 13th (Set-Up and Select VIP), October 14th and October 15th, 2023, the Talent agrees to indemnify, hold harmless, defend, release, and forever discharge Raleigh Llama Productions, Fayetteville Comic Con, Inc., the Cumberland County Civic Center Commission, OVG360, Oak View Group, and their agents, representatives, and employees, and any person or persons under its direction and control from, and waive any and all responsibility of same, for any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, loss or expense (including costs and attorneys’ fees), loss or damage of any kind whatsoever imposed by law upon the same for damages because of bodily injury, including death at any time resulting there from, sustained by any person or persons, or on account of damages to property, including loss of use thereof, arising out of or in consequence of the performance of this agreement, provided such injury to persons or damage to property results from and is caused by the negligent or willful acts or omissions of Raleigh Llama Productions, Fayetteville Comic Con, Inc., the Cumberland County Civic Center Commission, OVG360, Oak View Group, its officers, agents, employees, or any person or persons under its direct supervision and control.
