Continuing Pineapple Grove's NE 2nd Ave legacy event now on SE 2nd Ave. Road Closure presented by the City of Delray Beach. 

Bed Racing: a noun, the sport of having fun in costumes with a hula- hooping spirit.

Five-member team consists of four pushers who push a metal framed “bed” on wheels holding a “princess” reclining on a mattress.

Most important thing to remember is HAVE FUN when designing and building your team’s speedster!

Next 2 Teams – 16 > 8 > 4 > 2 > 1 WINNER

- teams must be on time and ready to begin the race at their scheduled start time

- each team must name a captain to who takes responsibility for ensuring their team members are aware of and agree to respect the rules and maintain safety for their team.

- one member of your team must be in the bed at all times through the race and be lying flat (no standing allowed) and wearing a helmet REQUIRED

- all teammates must be wearing closed-toe shoes
- no motor or engine assistance allowed (no turbo, nitrous)

- no vulgarity, profanity, or any other inappropriate elements (spoken or as part of the bed decorations) will be permitted or tolerated

- no drug or alcohol consumption before the race

- no interference with another bed will be tolerated and will result in disqualification (this includes but is not limited to tampering, crashing into, throwing things at opponents)

- we reserve the right to disqualify or remove, at our discretion, any team, costumes, or decorations that are deemed inappropriate, defy the spirit of the competition, or pose a safety risk to other teams.

Limited to 16 Teams, this application is an application and not an approved registration. Payment is processed upon application approval.

Let's keep it simple. 1 team per sponsor. 5 teammembers (4 pushers, 1 on bed). Helmet required for "princess on the bed". Liability waiver signed by all participants. 

We ae providing the racing beds. You may not race on your own bed. You are encouraged to build something cool on wheels to represent your brand and parade it down the block Pre-Race and have on display throughout event. GET CREATIVE FOR THIS PRE-HALLOWEEN COMMUNITY CELEBRATION...TEAM COSTUMES ARE A MUST!

Participation Liability Form - Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability

This agreement releases Little One Delray LLC, Flying From Delray LLC, and Delray Concours Foundation from all liability relating to injuries that may occur during the Delray Bed Races at Little One Delray LLC (166 SE 2nd Ave, Delray Beach) and any association with the special event. By signing this agreement, I agree to hold Little One Delray LLC, Flying From Delray LLC, and Delray Concours Foundation entirely free from any liability, including financial responsibility for injuries incurred, regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence.

I understand that certain risks are inherent in the activities in which I will participate in during this event, and I fully accept those risks. I also acknowledge the risks involved in the Delray Bed Races. These include but are not limited to the harm to health of my person, injury, disease, or other threat of physical harm to myself and others and the damage to or theft of personal property. I swear that I am participating voluntarily, and that all risks have been made clear to me. Additionally, I do not have any conditions that will increase my likelihood of experiencing injuries while engaging in this activity. I acknowledge that Little One Delray LLC, Flying From Delray LLC, and Delray Concours Foundation is not responsible for any harm that might occur. I certify I am between the ages of 16 and 65.

FINAL NOTICE

By signing below, I forfeit all right to bring a suit against Little One Delray LLC, Flying From Delray LLC, and Delray Concours Foundation for any reason. I fully release and discharge Little One Delray LLC, Flying From Delray LLC, and Delray Concours Foundation and its employees, officers and directors, agents, representatives, and its insurers from all claims for damage or injuries of any kind sustained by me or my guests, now or in the future in connection with my participation in this event. In return, I will receive participation in the 2023 Delray Bed Races. I will also make every effort to obey safety precautions as listed in writing and as explained to me verbally. I will ask for clarification when needed.
