Downtown Decorating Contest

This is an opportunity for everyone in our MAIN STREET District to showcase their unique personalities, each of which make our community truly one-of-a-kind. This contest is absolutely FREE to you. All businesses and occupants of the Main Street District are eligible.

CONTEST RULES

Contestants must submit their applications by 5:00pm on Wednesday, November 29^th to be included in the judging. Interested participants should have windows, areas, or storefronts decorated and lit before Friday, December 1, 2023.

Contest is for decorated area that is visible to the public (either from outside or inside with approval). Displays must be family friendly. Be creative, be festive, and HAVE FUN! Judging criteria includes presentation, workmanship, originality, and use of lights.

A panel of judges will visit the storefronts the evening of Friday, December 1, 2023. Businesses are asked to leave their decoration lights on between 6:00pm – 10:00pm.

First, Second, and Third place winners will receive a cash prize, trophy, and recognition in the local newspaper, as well as on various social media sites.

Consideration will be awarded to anyone who can incorporate in this year’s theme, “AN OLD FASHIONED CHRISTMAS”.

Winners will be announced on Saturday, December 2, 2023, during the WINTERFEST CELEBRATION festivities!

All businesses and/or private window/storefront decorating within the Gonzales Main Street District are eligible to participate. 

Entry applications must be received no later than 5:00pm on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 to be judged for the contest. Completed application form required for entry.
