Grand Marshal Nomination

Experience one of Central Florida’s premier nighttime parades in Historic Downtown Kissimmee. The Kissimmee Festival of Lights is an annual tradition that is perfect for the whole family. Join thousands of residents and visitors for a holiday event full of music, dancing, and thousands of holiday lights. Join us at the Kissimmee's Lakefront Park Veterans Lawn for holiday festivities. Enjoy cookie decorating, pictures with Santa, and more! Festivities on the Veterans Lawn will begin at 4:30 p.m. The parade will begin at 7:30 p.m. We recommend you arrive early to enjoy the Festival of Lights at the Kissimmee Lakefront Park before the parade.

Submit a nomination for the City of Kissimmee's Annual Festival of Lights Grand Marshal. Nominations must be a resident of Osceola County who have displayed outstanding pride and commitment to the community through volunteerism and/or service above and beyond their normal call of duty.

 

2022 Grand Marshal - Taylor Kuwik, Osceola County School District 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year

 

The Grand Marshal will be chosen from the pool of nominees by the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board (PARAB) based on their review of each nomination form.  Nominees will be judged on their adherence to the selection criteria and on the nominator’s statement of support.

Selection Criteria:

• Nominee shall reside in Osceola County
• Nominee must be in good standing in the community
• Nominee should display outstanding pride and commitment to our community through volunteerism and/or service, above and beyond their normal call of duty
• Nominee must be able to carry out the functions of Grand Marshal, including sitting and/or standing for an extended period of time
• Nominee must be available on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 5:30pm – 9:30pm

The Grand Marshal will be chosen from the pool of nominees by the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board (PARAB) based on their review of each nomination form.  Nominees will be judged on their adherence to the selection criteria and on the nominator’s statement of support.  The individual selected to serve as Grand Marshal will be notified on or before December 1, 2023.
