Williamsburg, Virginia - January 28-31, 2027
The Last Word Academy aspires to grow the festival's positive community of diverse performers from around the country, and is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join ensemble improv teams for the 2027 festival.
Selected performers will be placed on an ensemble team with a dedicated coach and provided instruction culminating in a set on the Friday or Saturday night of the festival. Additional details including information on ensemble coaches and teams are available at lastwordfestival.com/academy.
The early bird application fee is $10 for applications submitted by 10:00 PM (EST) on October 28, and $15 for acts submitted by the regular deadline of 10:00 PM (EST) on November 11. The festival reserves the right to close the submission process prior to the final deadline if necessary given the quantity of entries received.
If selected for placement on a team, performers will be charged the additional fee of $150 with the payment method on file upon notice of acceptance.
