Acrylic Paint
9x12
While painting this I really wanted to give the piece a carefree and flowy feel, just like the ocean itself. With that in mind, while I was painting, if I made any errors or put the wrong color in the wrong place, I didn't cover it up. I did this because in nature, there is no “flaws” and I wanted to perceive that in my painting. Also when painting I really wanted to make the blue in the waves stand out. So instead of painting a blue sky, I extended the froth from the wave into where the sky would be. As to not distract the viewers attention from the eye catching blue.
