The Mush Room

When the pandemic began in 2020, I was one of the early victims of Covid-19. I was pregnant and developed a terrible infection. My infection was so severe, I was intubated for 3 weeks in the hospital. Fortunately, I recovered enough to return home, where I continued to slowly regain my ability to do simple things, like walking, sleeping through the night, and most importantly, drawing. At the time, I was dizzy even if I sat up for more than a few minutes. This piece was to challenge me to practice painting digitally again and to force myself to recover quickly. I dedicate this artwork to all the victims of Covid-19 and to all the medical personnel across the world who helped combat this unprecedented disease.
