Take the Shot

Zack Packson guides us through life as a new middle school student. The Packson family is nearing their time apart as his father's military deployment wraps up. He is excited about upcoming try-outs for the basketball team. We join him and his best friend Colton at the local park. But on Zack approaches home, he shudders at the sight of a black suburban and two military officers at the front door. His mom is horrified to learn that Dad's convoy was hit by an IED. In the following days and weeks, we follow Zack through the ups and downs as his family moves on to the next steps
