MEET THE ARTIST: Angela Dawn
I grew up in the Comox Valley but spent most of my adult life in Alberta. In 2010 I moved back to the valley as it always felt like home. I've been creative all my life but only started painting in the last five years. It actually began as personal therapy to help me deal with the trauma of nearly losing my husband in 2017. I started with 'scribbling my feelings' and this morphed into art journaling which then moved to canvas. Art is now a big part of my life whether I'm painting a goddess girl on canvas or 'mucking about' in an art journal.
