Return To The River acrylic on canvas MEET THE ARTIST: Anouk Hartwell Born and raised amongst the wind swept fields of the prairies, my parents expanded my world with unforgettable trips to Vancouver Island which I have now called home for over 15 years. From an early age I was encouraged to pursue my creative side but was called towards adventure tourism. After years of dog sled and kayak guiding I returned to painting. My acrylic paintings explore nature and adventure through mountains, oceans and forests found mostly on the island.
