Upon check out, here are the questions that you answer to help me make this board for your loved one/family:
You give me me about 25 words about a person/family. I fit all the words on a Scrabble board, glue them down, and frame the board under glass. Here are suggestions to help you come up with 25-30 words: Names, Pet names, Sport's Teams, Their favorite Expressions, Traditions or Stories, Colleges, Movies, Music, TV, Actors/Musicians, Restaurants, Beer/Wine, Birthdays/Anniversary dates, and Funny Words that remind you of the family/person you are giving the personal gift to. This is the most unique gift you will ever give and it's up to YOU (with my help;) to work hard at this list of words about the family/person. Please stay clear of words like Love, Family and Friends. These are words that would be on anyone's board. Your part of this gift is to remember a story/tradition unique to them. That time the dalmatian dog escaped and was returned by the fire department. Or how about how Grammy always makes a GREEN JELLO MOLD every Xmas? No one ever eats it, but it HAS to be there every Christmas. (one year she didn't make it since it was never touched and she sure caught heck THAT year)
This board becomes a word biography of the life of the person/family. Your part is to think back years of the life of the family/person. Where did they first meet? Hobbies? Work? Volunteer for? Church? Favorite food/baked good/candy bar? The more creative and funny you make your list the better the board turns out! Our goal together is to make a gift that brings tears of joy. Again, a list of questions to answer to help you come up with 25-30 words:
Family names (ie, Nicolas, Samantha, Julie, remember that you should give the name the person has always been called. If JULIE is on their birth certificate, but she is always JULES, then the word you give me is JULES. Same way with SAMMIE or NICK.
Pet names (ie, Ralphie, Kitty, Jake. You might want to include pets that have died, but hold a special spot in the person's heart. A person LOVES that someone else remembers how important a person or pet was to them even though they are no longer with us.)
Vacation spots (ie, the place the family went to every year of childhood, a once in a lifetime trip that is always talked about, a place where special memories are even if not visited all the time.) Also include here state abbreviations that are special to the recipient. These 2 letter words help me to fill out the board.
Traditions - holiday, summer, yearly, etc. This is a great place to think up those things that are SO SPECIAL for the person's/family's life. Words that are so UNIQUE that I might never have put them on a board before in the 400 or so I have made.
Expressions: i.e. Heaven's No, Jiminy Crickets, Oy vey, To The Moon, Oh Darnst, The Expression that if you were in a crowd and someone loudly said this, you would immediately think of this person.
Inside jokes: i.e. You and your best friend always ate cashews at college before a big exam. Years later, saying "cashews" to each other meant that something very hard/difficult was going on and you needed their support very much. CASHEWS needs to be on your friend's board.

The Name grandchildren call grandparent(s) On this one, I suggest going with Grammy or Nana, instead of listing 7 or 8 grandchildren's names. That way, there will be space for her/his life biography like what sport they played in high school, a job she/he loved in their 30's and still tells stories about, a favorite craft they did growing up-although she doesn't do it anymore since she is older. This board becomes a conversational piece for anyone who might be meeting her for the first time. (A GREAT gift to put on the wall at a senior place with aids/nurses coming and going)

There is NO LIMIT on the special, unique, and personal words you come up with to talk about this person.
We will be emailing and/or talking on the phone to make this the best gift ever.
