Natural Wonder: Angular Chrysocolla and Malachite Druzy Necklace

Stone(s): Natural, chrysocolla and malachite druzy. 1 1/4" long and 3/4" wide, tapering to 1/4" wide.  Four, brilliant-cut green and blue diamonds measuring 3.3 mm (1), 2.75 mm (2), 2.5 mm (1).  Material(s): Druzy is bezel set in 18K yellow gold and framed with oxidized sterling silver (.925). Bail (hook) is 18K yellow gold. Flower bud detail (on top of bail) is 14K rose gold. Green and blue diamonds are set in 18K yellow gold bezels. Box chain is oxidized sterling silver (.925) with 18K yellow gold accent loops.  Pendant/Chain Measurement(s): Pendant is 2 1/2" long and 1.0" wide. Adjustable box chain is included, and may be worn at the following lengths: 16," 18," 20," 22," 24," and 26."  Description/Artist Notes: One of a kind, statement piece.  The oxidized sterling silver framing the pendant is formed using hammers and anvils, creating rolling waves and curves in the metal. A flower bud is molded and cast in 14K rose gold, creating the detail at the top of the bail (hook).  Colored diamonds are colorless when mined from the earth. They then undergo a treatment called irradiation, to permanently create the colored diamond. Irradiated diamonds are not radioactive and will not fade. The enhancement does not affect the price and is an affordable option compared to naturally occurring colored diamonds, which are extremely rare.
