Mossy Stone Octopus Plaque

Handmade plaque depicting everyone's favorite eight-armed friend in the sea! 🐙 This item is made to order. Measures 5" x 5" x 1.5" (inches) Plaques are first hand-sculpted with clay, molded, and then cast with gypsum cement (AKA plaster of Paris). Once hardened, these plaques take on a stone-like appearance and feel. To achieve the weathered gray stone finish, a layering technique is used with artist-grade acrylic paints. Preserved moss is added using homemade natural water-based glue. Plaques come with a metal wire embedded in the back to allow for hanging on a wall. Note: Since each item is individually handmade, there will be slight variations in the finished product(s) that you receive. Examples include slight color differences, item weight, and the degree to which the item is weathered (divots/cavities, broken areas, placement of moss, etc). Plaster sculptures may be gently cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth or soft brush, and are recommended for indoor display only.
