Original oil on canvas framed in "floating" whitewashed wooden frame to expose the painted gallery wrap. Canvas size is 30" H x 48" W. My frames add 3" to the height/width dimensions of the canvas size. Framed dimensions are 33" H x 51" W. Dimensions noted below are for the shipping crate if shipping via FedEx. I love to paint roseate spoonbills - the combination of the pink with the shovel-like spoonbill has always fascinated me.

I paint in studio with oils on canvas from photographs I take as I travel the coastal South. I have such wonderful memories of growing up at the beach on the Bolivar Peninsula that I am particularly drawn to paint coastal birds, boats and landscapes near the shore. I was born and raised in Beaumont, TX and graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design from our hometown university, Lamar University. After a career in advertising, I returned to my first love - painting.
