A decoration for the fall season.
A beautiful and colorful one-of-a-kind polymer clay covered Gourd, covered with polymer clay. A cotton string divides the piece and creates different areas on the surface. Each area has been covered in different polymer clay cane-work techniques. A combination of Kaleidoscope and layers stack. No paints or dyes were used. The polymer clay was then cured in the oven to ensure optimum strength and color, sanded smooth, and finished with several coats of a color enhancing protective polish.

My second act as an artist is proof of life beyond high-tech. My first career was in electrical engineering. I spent a significant amount of time learning and following specific rules to design electronic systems. High tech criteria for success involves strict adherence to the specifications. With art, this is not the case and I relish the freedom of no right or wrong way to create. I’m playing with texture and colors to evoke feelings of balance, tranquility, peace of mind, and harmony through my art.
My paintings are a reflection of my passage in life. I like to ask: what is behind all that? I create art that reveals and hides, exposes and conceals. I like the viewer to wonder and imagine.
