Original oil on canvas framed in "floating" whitewashed wooden frame to expose gallery wrap. Canvas size is 30"H x 24"W. My frames add 3" to the height/width dimensions of the canvas size. Framed dimensions are 27" H x 33" W. Dimensions noted below are for the shipping crate if shipping via FedEx. Bon Secour is one of those places you stumble upon in your travels. Founded as a small fishing village on Mobile Bay on the Bon Secour River, it is currently home to a small commercial fishing fleet harvesting oysters, shrimp, crab and other bounty from the Bay and nearby Gulf of Mexico. A "Safe Harbor" indeed!

I paint in studio with oils on canvas from photographs I take as I travel the coastal South. I have such wonderful memories of growing up at the beach on the Bolivar Peninsula that I am particularly drawn to paint coastal birds, boats and landscapes near the shore. I was born and raised in Beaumont, TX and graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design from our hometown university, Lamar University. After a career in advertising, I returned to my first love - painting.
