Incredibly unique and truly one-of-a-kind, this handmade vitreous enamel and sterling silver pendant has had many different techniques and materials come together in its design and creation! The sterling silver oval bezel and its textured backplate was custom made for the gorgeous vitreous enamel focal piece that I created! I have chosen shades of aqua green, turquoise blue, lime green and white with a touch of brick red for my enamel color palette as it reinforces the water garden theme! The enamel is fired over copper. Read below for a further explanation of the vitreous enamel process if you are interested! I have used techniques called sgraffito and crackle in its creation along with the insertion of millefiori. The end result is a pendant that is reminiscent of a water lily garden with a dimensional sterling silver bumble bee dancing on the surface of the water! An enhanced, lab-grown simulated opal cabochon has the multicolor glow that this stone is known for and adds a lovely touch to this one-of-a-kind-design! Certain areas of my design were then oxidized to play up the textures and make them more prominent. Metal smithing, stone setting, vitreous enamel, and riveting are all techniques I have used in the creation of this lovely pendant! The pendant as photographed hangs from a lovely multi-cable neck wire.
In the sterling silver multi-cable neck wire, 15 strands of sterling silver compliment the bright silver tones in the pendant beautifully. This features a secure interlocking clasp. This is available in either a 16 inch or 18 inch length. It passes through a "hidden bail" on the back of the pendant.
Please choose whether or not you would like the multi-cable neck wire with your purchase, and if so, what length. You will LOVE this neck wire as it works with this design beautifully and can be easily removed and used with other pendants! You may also choose to use a chain necklace of your own with this pendant for different lengths and looks!

I ship from Florida, and time in transit will vary depending upon where in the US you are located. I ship USPS with tracking info, which gets to most places within 3 - 5 business days. Priority Mail is available at check-out as an upgrade if you would like it faster!

I want you to be happy with your purchase. Each piece is handmade by me in my home studio in Sarasota, Florida. I am not able to offer refunds on custom orders or anything made to your specifications. I will, however, exchange items bought from my shop for other in stock items.
If you need to exchange your purchase, please just contact me within 14 days of delivery and ship items back within 30 days of delivery. For Holiday purchases made between November 1st and December 20th, please contact me by January 10th and ship items back by January 15th. Once I receive your return, I will ship the new item(s) out to you.
Once an order is placed, I can not accept a cancellation. But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.

I am the owner of DianaHDesigns/Artful Handmade Jewelry. I design and create every piece I sell myself, from my home studio in Florida.
Jewelry designing to me is exciting, multi-faceted and ever-evolving! Being able to manipulate a flat piece of sheet metal into a dimensional, wearable piece of art has always been, and continues to be, very gratifying to me. Predominantly a metalsmith and enamelist, I do often incorporate leather, beading and wire work into my designs. I am inspired in particular by architecture and the galaxy and that is reflected in my work as they tend to be contemporary designs which are either architectural or “out of this world” in design.
I tend to design and create a "collection" and then move on to whatever is inspiring me next. I like to keep my work new and exciting and there are only a handful of items I make repeatedly, everything else is one-of-a-kind. Designs from different collections can easily be worn together, however, and my customers can add on to their selections over the years as the look is cohesive.
I enjoy being able to offer a wide variety of price points so regardless if you are looking for a great pair of earrings at $25 made with base metals or a great pair of earrings, a cuff or a pendant…or maybe all three….using precious metals to include 24k gold, I’ve got your covered! If you like my design aesthetic, there will be something in your price range. I do a limited amount of custom orders as well and would be happy to talk to you if that would be of interest!
