100% Shetland Wool Cowl from Shetland Sheep raised at Wild Flower Farm. The farm is a year round working farm raising Shetland Sheep, Highland Coos and many other animals. It takes a month in the spring to shear the sheep. It takes several days to laboriously wash and dry the fleece. Each ball of yarn takes an hour or more to spin from the dried fleece. The garments take 3 to 8 hours to knit each piece by hand. All animals are cared for with love and all items are made with care at the farm by Don and Peggy McCallie personally.
Please note: Shetland Wool has inherent variations so each one is unique.
