"Vermilion Cliffs" is an acrylic painting on gallery-wrapped canvas with sides painted white. It is wired and ready to hang.
Inspired by a mid-summer road trip out West, this collection of paintings mimics the sights and sounds from those travels—the rustling of leaves, the vibrancy of the dirt of the Colorado Plateau, the contrast and suddenness of greenery along the cliffsides, the flickering of light in the afternoon, and the respite and energy I felt while hiking and driving in new surroundings.
**This painting is currently on exhibit at the Arts Council Gallery in the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center in downtown Tuscaloosa through October 30. Visit the gallery from 1-3 p.m. on weekdays to see the painting in person.

My work is inspired almost entirely by the outdoors. Raised in rural and lush countrysides, I’ll forever love hearing wind rustle tree leaves, seeing stars splattered across the sky, and falling asleep to the hum of crickets and cicadas. Inspired by hiking, travel, seasons, and light, I hope my paintings breathe that same sense of respite and energy into your home.
