A fierce storm on October 10, 2018 brought winds of over 80 mph and 20-foot rollers on Lake Superior. The crashing waves sent spray well above the height of the 70-foot cliffs surrounding Crystal Bay in Tettegouche State Park, creating ephemeral waterfalls as the water cascaded back down into the angry lake.
