Description

A game called "Mikado" lends its playfulness to the Mikado design series. Strips of gold decorate the pieces seemingly in a random fashion but are placed with purpose and attention. This tailored looking pendant can easily be worn with a pair of jeans. Add it to a black top and you are ready for the evening.  Many chains will fit this pendant since the ring's opening is generous. The pictured chain is optional. (It is adjustable from 1 to 22 inches in length, made of sterling silver, is 1.50 mm thick and features a black patina. Please note, our chains are unlacquered) Our handmade silver pieces have been protected against tarnishing with a clear high-end jewelry lacquer. Clean with a damp, soft cloth. To remove heavier buildup, use warm water with a squeeze of a mild dishwashing solution and a soft toothbrush.

Meet your seller

Dorothee Naumburg

Creating jewelry has been a lifelong passion A passion which began during a three-year goldsmith apprenticeship under a master goldsmith near Frankfurt, Germany, in 1983. My journey brought me to California, where I worked for a custom goldsmith in the City of Orange, CA for 14 years, and added many more bench and stone setting skills to my repertoire of techniques. In 1999, I embarked on my own business, designing and creating fine jewelry and selling the work at juried fine art festivals throughout the country. A dream came true in 2003; I became a proud citizen of the United States. I use a silver alloy called Argentium Silver. It is a sustainably produced newer brighter-white silver alloy with many benefits over the traditional sterling silver. The diamonds you see in my pieces are conflict-free, sustainably produced, and lab-grown. An ancient gilding technique called Keum-Boo is used to embellish my pieces with 24K gold. With this ancient technique, I create contemporary jewelry pieces that have a fun, lighthearted, every-day, but tailored appeal and will bring a smile to anyone's face who wears them.
