I've long had a fascination for the Salton Sea. I have made many stops over the years to photograph & explore the miles of shoreline. It is a wintering place for giant white pelicans, blue heron, gulls and many other species. It's a quiet & magical place to visit in the winter. The satin finish metal really brings out the smoothness of the water in this image.
