This striking Phantom Viper Head Pendant clutches a Mexican Matrix Opal within its fanged jaw. Wicked scales adorn the snake's head and when turned over, the skull is revealed with a secret 4mm gemstone set on the back side of the pendant. The pendant is 1.25" high and 3/4" across and cast in sterling silver. Vipers have elliptical pupils, broad triangular heads and defined scales. Did you know that snake scales are part of the golden ratio, fibonacci spiral? Visually, vipers are the crown jewels of the snake world A few viper facts: Atheris Bush Vipers and Arboreal Pit Vipers are venomous. Bush vipers inhabit sub Saharan Africa and have many similarities to the Arboreal Pit Vipers of Asia and South America. They come in remarkable and varied colors, even within a species.
