Hand Painted Acrylic Latex On Hand Made Wood Canvas
This piece is inspired by the 1925 Hemingway short story, "The End of Something". It is an adaptation of the climactic scene in the story where Nick Adams breaks up with his girlfriend, Marjorie.
Marjorie asks Nick what is bothering him, and Nick explains that, “It isn’t fun anymore." Marjorie recognizes his words as the end of the relationship and she leaves, while Nick lies face down on a blanket
