Classic, simple and stately - wear this statement ring and let it remind you of calming and cleansing thoughts. Mabe pearls, also known as blister pearls, are cultivated on the inside of a mollusk's shell. A small nucleus, usually made out of mother of pearl, is attached to the shell of the mollusk and left to accumulate nacre over a period that usually runs about two or three years. Each pearl has its own unique natural and organic shape, which we particularly love, and as with all pearls, your natural skin oils will give the pearl a unique color and patina. Each is allowed to shine on its own. Upon purchase, you will be sent a set of pearl options to choose from, so you will be able to create a custom piece, similar to the one pictured, but with tiny variations. If you'd like to see your options prior to purchase, just send me a message and we can easily create your custom piece from that conversation. Or! If you happen to have your own pearl, stone or seaglass, you can ship to me. Every design that we create has been beach-tested for wear right here in Amelia Island, Florida. We've pictured the final piece for you both indoors/ shaded and in sunlight to show the brilliant way that the pearl shimmers and changes in every shade of light. A NOTE ON WIDE-BAND RINGS: We highly recommend you choose a size that is one FULL size larger than your regular ring size - as wide bands much hold more skin/flesh. This will help the ring move with you comfortably throughout a day of wear. Our pieces are only made in the USA of US-origin precious metal materials, by proud Southern hands with the most sustainable materials possible. My recent work is characterized by the natural, organic perspective of found objects specifically of sea glass, which is formed while tumbling for decades in the oceans, seas, great lakes and rivers. I feel that my years of holistic observation and practice lend a certain simplicity to my work and I emphasise that no piece of sea glass is ever altered in any way, which allows each piece to speak to the wearer with its own conviction and purity.
