Description

CAST BRONZE 14.5" x 4" x 4" The Bar and Bat Mitzvah is the first self-recognized rite of passage of Jewish youth.  Signifying their acceptance into the adult community, it is a time of celebration, reflection and recognition of the generations and traditions that culminate in this occasion.  With this celebration comes the awareness of the responsibilities of Jewish life that will one day be passed forward to the next generation. For an additional $100.00 the name child and date of the ceremony can be engraved on the book.

Meet your seller

Karen Coburn Sculptor

I use a wide variety of materials to create my work—wood, wax, clay, fabric, paper, metal, etc. Every sculpture is the result of an active “conversation” between me & my materials. The process is a give & take between ideas and objects, each pushing the boundaries and limits of the other. These sculptures are cast in bronze by the traditional lost wax method, patinaed in vivid color & finished with a high gloss coating to enhance the rhythm, movement and my statement of growth, joy & freedom.
