And sometimes, we need to remind ourselves that it doesn't have to be that way. This ring is no magic talisman. It won't automatically make you calmer or more mindful. But it will act as a focus. When you glimpse it on your finger as you go through your day, it will remind you to take a deep breath, shrug the tension out of your shoulders, and face the world with a bit more tranquility of spirit. This is a very narrow band— only 1/8" at its widest point. The simple lettering on a sterling silver band is an eloquent message of inner peace and patience to see you through your day. Any words of wisdom to help my search for serenity? One of my favorites is this quote from Reinhold Niebuhr: "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." And when that doesn't work, I revert back to this Polish phrase: "Not my circus, not my monkeys."
