Small Ginkgo Leaf Earrings

These earrings feature hand-fabricated sterling silver Ginkgo leaves, textured to show the interesting vein pattern, with sterling silver ear wires. For centuries, the Ginkgo, or Maidenhair Tree, has served as a symbol of hope and peace in its native land of China. The Ginkgo is the oldest tree species in the world.. Fossils very similar to the living species, belonging to the genus Ginkgo, extend back to the Middle Jurassic approximately 170 million years ago. I admire this tree for it's resilience and its brilliant yellow fall colors.
