My focus is on creating works that convey calm, excitement, or stir emotion. Through the infusion of light, saturation or desaturation of colour, I aim to produce landscapes, whether real or imagined, that are infused with ethereal light, depth and hope.
Old derelict barns and buildings that dot the landscape have caught my interest over the years. I initially found them fun to paint, however, there’s a deeper story there. Memories (not mine), contained within those barn boards can only be imagined. There’s a melancholy beauty to these old, stoic structures that we are losing... one windstorm at a time.
