Marianne Sung is a contemporary and abstract Korean-Canadian artist. With endless painterly shapes and colours, Marianne's art is meant to spark feelings of magic, warmth and nostalgia. Her artworks are expressive through the application of thin repeated layers of acrylics as well as through the use of some mixed media. She is inspired by places, things and events in her current home of Ontario, her upbringing in Quebec and from her travels worldwide.
Originally from Montreal, Marianne graduated McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce and is now based Toronto. In 2021 her works were shown in the juried exhibits, "Big, Bold, Risk" and "Opening Doors" at the Leslie Grove Gallery and "Papier" at Esperanto Gallery. She is represented by fully curated online gallery Ninth Editions.
