Papillion Or

The title is French for "Gold Butterfly". This artful hand-wired pendant was a work of love. It's always a bit of a challenge to make an asymmetrical design that is esthetically pleasing and in balance for the wearer. I'm so happy with how pretty this is. The lovely gold plated butterfly charm has just the right amount of antiquing, and it's actually two-sided (the opposite side reveals a maple leaf). The large, gold plated hoop is embellished with Czech glass leaves and flowers in soft shades of pale opal and white, with gold accents. On the opposite side are small Swarovski crystal pearls in creamy white. The necklace is a gold plated long and short style and has a simple lobster claw closure. The entire pendant including the large jump ring is about 3" tall and 1 1/2" at its widest point. The necklace is 26". This wire wrapping technique takes time to complete, and each piece in this style is a truly unique treasure. A great choice for someone who loves garden themes and would love a piece in wear-with-anything hues.
