Description
This is a stunning pendant necklace featuring a luminous detail from the "The Mermaid", by Henry O’Hara Clive, which appeared on the cover of The American Weekly in March, 1939. The art work is preserved under a clear glass dome cabochon (artisan made by Fallen Angel Brass). The cabochon is set in a vintage-look, blackened antique brass setting that hangs from an open-work blackened brass bail, attached to 24-inch, blackened brass chain, closing with a lobster claw clasp. I embellished the edge of the setting with beaded crochet, using beautiful hand-dyed, multicolor cotton thread and tiny, shimmering, iridescent glass beads. A Swarovski crystal drop sparkles at the bottom of the pendant. This is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece!
The pendant is a total of 3 inches long, including the bail and crystal, and is about 1 1/2 inches wide. The center cabochon is 18 x 25mm.
