Tub Springs bubbles up through a volcanic filtered aquifer deep below the Cascade Siskiyou Mountains. The water is fresh and crisp and full of beneficial minerals absent in processed city water. People travel long distances to drink and fill canteens.
The old growth trees spread their canopy across the spring where Cornus florida, flowering dogwood tree blooms in the dappled shade. The little eggs are laid by Oreortyx pictus, the mountain quail who run swiftly through the underbrush. The forest is warm and alive with the sound of crow calls.
