Limited edition reproductions - available in various sizes on Epson fine art matte paper or canvas giclée. The canvas giclees are mounted on a 1.5 inch wooden frame, wired, and ready to hang.
This piece is a celebration of bees and the vital role they play in as pollinators and as guardians of ecological balance and biodiversity in nature. The title alludes to both the honey which bees produce (and which humans’ treasure), and also to the bees themselves. Because of the work they do, they are a unique treasure – and should be thought of in such a way. Some of the collage elements – such as the coat of arms and the crown are metaphors suggesting a recognition of the importance of bees, a call to protect them in the present, and an optimistic hope for a brighter future where bees continue to work and thrive as they always have done.
