The Rapper

Acrylic paint on Canvas. This piece was started as a live painting at a Music festival. I finished it a few weeks later. I wanted to capture the energy of the rappers, whom I feel are often misunderstood. I also wanted to show sound through colors. As a producer/rapper myself, I'm just starting to learn music theory, but in the past I have made music just from playing by ear and trying to capture a feeling. When making this painting I asked myself: "What if I could capture a feeling from sound, and translate that feeling into colors? This was the result.
