Organic Matter: Curvaceous Rivet Hoop Earrings

Stone(s): N/A Material(s):  Hoops and posts are oxidized sterling silver (pictured) or high polished sterling silver (.925) and six, 18K yellow gold accent rivets per earring. A set of sterling silver earring backs are included.  Measurement(s):  1.0" long and 3/8" wide. Description/Artist Notes: The technique used to create these hoops is called anticlastic forming. Starting with a flat piece of metal, the convex curves are formed using hammers and stakes.  For the rivets, holes are drilled and 18K yellow gold is inserted and melted on each side.
