Meet your seller
Ernie was born in Miami, Florida in 1973 to exiled Cuban parents. His work is a meditative process of self-expression. He’s visually representing the world he sees daily through the use of collage, paint, wood and cardboard.
Inspired by his travel and more importantly by the people, animals, and objects of his surroundings, he painstakingly represents his subject using old magazines, paint and cutaway corrugated cardboard to render the shapes and patterns. It's a process of composition, deconstruction and reassembling.
Ernie has worked in the wholesale tire industry for over 25 years, however, he’s always carried a passion for art and has always been inspired to create.

Most of my inspiration comes from pictures taken by my wife or myself. I attempt to interpret every day scenes in a unique way . The reference pictures of my work are shown where applicable so the viewer can visualize the original scene.
All my work is original.
A portion of the proceeds are donated to feed the elderly in Downtown Miami.
