Description
Crocheted from gorgeous, rich red wool, which I then felted, this Be Mine Valentine Brooch is embellished with flowers crocheted from a multi-color wool silk yarn. I crocheted the leaves using cotton embroidery thread in variegated greens and aqua. A green and aqua swirled round glass bead is at the center of each flower.
The heart is 3 1/8 inches across at its widest point and measures about 2 3/4 inches from top to bottom. The pin back, hand sewn to a wool felt circle, measure 1 1/2 inches across.
What a lovely way to express a warm heart!

Gossamer Tangles is an outgrowth of my life-long love of crochet and needle arts. The jewelry I design and make is one-of-a-kind. I find that conceiving a design in my mind and then bringing it to life between my fingers, instills a remarkable mix of wonder, excitement and satisfaction.
Color, texture and imagination, often inspired by my observations of the natural world and works of art, are the key components in my creations.
