Françoise Cockburn
My photography, painting and collage are inspired by a variety of landscapes, in particular my birth-country, France, Mexico, where I lived for some time and continue to visit regularly as my son and grandson live in Mexico-city. I also love my adopted country, Canada. I recently spent some time in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
Twice I travelled to India, an infinite source of inspiration .
I always take my camera looking for revealing images and, when I return to my studio, I choose the pictures that best caught the mood or the spirit of a particular moment and place.
