The Koala is NOT a bear. It is an arboreal herbivorous marsupial native to Australia.
The closest living relative to the koala is the wombat and the leave of the eucalyptus make up most of their diet. Since eucalyptus leaves have limited nutritional and caloric value, the koala is known to sleep for up to 20 hours a day.
Age: 24 months and over.
