I love the piece of walnut I found to use as the background in this picture as it looks like someone threw a pebble into the water and the concentric rings are radiating outwards. The grasses are poplar and the jaunty dragonfly is made of several different dyed veneers. In all a very sweet little picture.

No two pictures are identical as wood grain has infinite variability and no two pieces of wood are the same. The pieces are sealed with either lacquer or a hand rubbed oil and wax finish. Pictures are framed, ready to be hung. Jane also accepts commissions, making pictures to specific sizes and colors according to the customer's preferences.
