Volunteer Admittance:
• Volunteers must have a wristband to enter the event, both on and off duty. A volunteer t-shirt alone will not admit a volunteer to the festival.
• No alcohol or weapons are allowed, there may be spot searches of bags when entering the event.
While on duty:
• Plan on working a minimum of two four-hour shifts or the equivalent as determined by Jamboree management.
• Wear Jamboree uniform shirt (provided by your supervisor), comfortable shoes (flip-flops and sandals not recommended), clean comfortable slacks/jeans, capris, or conservative shorts, in a solid color, No Cut-offs or short-shorts.
• SHIRT ALTERATIONS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED DURING EVENT! (feel free to make any adjustments desired after Music & Brews). Altering your volunteer shirt can result in dismissal from the event.
• Be prepared for changing weather.
• Act in a positive professional manner, no swearing or foul language, remember you are representing the Oregon Jamboree.
• Refer issues needing special attention to your supervisor, please do not try to intervene in any conflict situations.
• Questions you cannot answer or a situation you cannot resolve - refer to your supervisor or a crowd management volunteer in your area.
• Primary focus – is your volunteer job, not the performances. If you want to see a specific show, please make arrangements with your supervisor.
• Volunteers Meal Policy – You must be ON DUTY and in uniform to receive your meal ticket; you do not have to redeem them during your scheduled volunteer hours, they may be redeemed at any time in the food vendor area. Your team leader/supervisor will coordinate breaks.
• Volunteers must not consume alcoholic beverages 3 hours before or during their assignments.
