About the event

The Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival (and March) welcome over 750,000 visitors to Columbus for the largest free pride festival and resource fair in the Midwest. For 43 years Stonewall Columbus has served the Central Ohio community working to uplift LGBTQIA+ identities. Stonewall’s annual Pride Festival and March serve as the organization’s largest annual fundraiser that secures the needed funds to support Stonewall’s community programs and annual operations.

Be a part of Pride! Join the hundreds of volunteers that make our events possible each year! See Pride in a new way, make new friends, celebrate in community, and make an impact! The theme for the 2024 Columbus Pride Festival and March is “Live Out Loud.” This message embodies the spirit of our community and our commitment to celebrating diversity, authenticity, and the ongoing fight for equality. The “Live Out Loud” theme encourages individuals from all backgrounds to proudly showcase their true selves–to share their joy. It’s a celebration of the progress we’ve made while recognizing the ongoing struggles within our community. When we work together to promote diversity and inclusivity, we can be the change we want to see in the world. And when we say “we,” that absolutely means you, too. Volunteers are the foundation of Pride and we are especially grateful to have your help this year. Please feel free to sign up for as many shifts as you like.

Terms & Conditions

Volunteer shift preference will be taken into account when scheduling, but shift changes may happen due to attendance and demand of the weekend. There will be additional communication prior to the Festival and March instructing you where to check-in for your shift and volunteer leads will provide more information upon your arrival the day-of as to your specific duties and assignments for your shift. The weekend of Pride is generally very hot and the safety and well-being of our volunteers is our utmost priority. Please communicate very clearly any accommodations you will need for your shift and during your shift if you should ever need a break. As a small token of our appreciation, volunteers will receive one drink ticket (non-alcoholic/alcoholic included), a volunteer t-shirt, snacks and water during volunteer hours. Volunteers will be required to wear their volunteer t-shirt during their shift so they can be easily identified. Please dress accordingly for the weather and wear protective shoes, SPF, hats, sunglasses, etc. There is minimal space to store volunteer items so please be prepared to leave anything you do not need at home. Every volunteer is required to sign the liability waiver located at the end of this form. I am aware of the terms and conditions of this agreement and am signing this agreement of my own free will. Further, by signing this agreement I attest to the fact that I am eighteen years of age or older. I expressly agree that this Agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Ohio in the United States of America and that this Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio.
