About the event

Anime Milwaukee (AMKE) is a three-day anime convention that operates at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center and Wisconsin Convention Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with an estimated economic impact of $3.9 million to the downtown area. We celebrate and educate fans about anime, manga, Asian culture, music and gaming.

About the application

Thank you for your interest in staffing Anime Milwaukee 2023! We're excited to have the chance to work with you to put on our show for thousands of like-minded fans in Wisconsin. We will be asking for information to help us communicate with you and meet your needs as a staffer. We do not share this information with anyone outside of our organization. Please fill out all fields to the best of your ability, even if you've staffed with us for a decade and have us all on Facebook already. Staff Requirements: This is a volunteer role and not a paid position. - Must be at least 18 years old - Must be available Friday-Sunday, and work 24 hours throughout the convention, including set up and tear down, with opportunities for work on Wednesday and Thursday. - Must adhere to Anime Milwaukee's Staff Code of Conduct at all times - Must be able to attend the all-hands mandatory meeting and participate in all mandatory conference calls To be on staff, it is required that you be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Exceptions to this rule will be made on a case-by-case basis based on medical necessity. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these requirements, please reach out to the Chief of Staff team. Please Note: Legal First Name and Legal Last Name are unfortunately requirements. We're sorry we have to ask, but it's required by law. Every effort will be made to ensure that only your chosen name is given to anyone but the Chief of Staff team.

I understand that failure to abide by the Code of Conduct may result in the immediate termination of my staff status. I understand that this is a volunteer position and I will not receive payment for my services to the convention. I agree to work my scheduled hours in exchange for a staff badge, meals during the convention, and a hotel room if necessary.
