1. Eligibility
The final shift covering 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM includes Blooms & Brews After Dark, which is a 21+ event. Volunteers assigned to or requesting the 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM shift must be 21 years of age or older. Valid ID will be required for all After Dark shift volunteers.
2. Shift Requirements
All volunteers are required to complete a minimum 5 hour shift. Volunteers must arrive on time and remain for the duration of their assigned shift. Early departure without prior approval from event coordinators may disqualify the associated organization from receiving the volunteer donation.
3. Volunteer Duties
Duties may include but are not limited to ticket sales, traffic and parking direction, vendor load in and load out assistance, guest services, event staff support, and general event assistance as directed by event coordinators. Volunteers should be prepared to assist with a variety of tasks as needed throughout the event.
4. Code of Conduct
All volunteers are expected to conduct themselves in a professional, respectful, and friendly manner at all times. Volunteers represent both their organization and Bay Area Events and are expected to treat all guests, vendors, staff, and fellow volunteers with courtesy and respect.
Volunteers must follow all instructions given by Bay Area Events event coordinators. Any volunteer found to be disruptive, disrespectful, or in violation of event policies may be dismissed from their shift without compensation to their organization.
5. Attire
Volunteers will be provided with an event identification item such as a wristband, lanyard, or t-shirt to wear during their shift. Volunteers should dress comfortably and appropriately for an outdoor spring festival. Closed toe shoes are strongly recommended.
6. Organization Donation
A donation of $500 will be made to the participating charitable organization in exchange for a minimum of 6 volunteers completing at least one full 5 hour shift. Donations will be processed following the conclusion of the event. Bay Area Events reserves the right to withhold or reduce the donation if volunteer requirements are not met.
7. Waiver of Liability
By participating as a volunteer, all volunteers agree to hold harmless Bay Area Events, Hunters Heart Foundation, Weeks Bay Plantation, and all associated sponsors and partners from any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during the course of their volunteer service.
8. Photo and Media Release
By participating as a volunteer, volunteers grant Bay Area Events permission to use any photos or videos taken during the event that may include their likeness for promotional and marketing purposes.
9. Agreement
By signing up to volunteer for Blooms & Brews Spring Fest and After Dark, volunteers and their organizations agree to all terms and conditions outlined above.
