Help set the stage for the show! This team is responsible for marking out the footprint of the event by determining and laying out the boundaries for each 10’ x 10’ artist tent.
Using grass spray paint, cones, and string lines, you’ll carefully map the placement of every booth, following the detailed plan, to ensure the show runs smoothly once tents begin to go up.
It’s a hands-on, detail-oriented role and you'll work in small teams on a specific section of the park. This is outdoors come rain or shine.
Wear old and comfortable footwear, comfy clothing like leisurewear and we will top it off with a signature cap!
Lunch is on us!

| Pre-Show Crew | Jimmie Simpson Park, 872 Queen St East (Queen St E/Logan) | Jun 06, 2026 7:00 am - 11:00 am | 12 | 4 |

message
Be part of the team that gets the show off the ground! As a Pre-Show Crew volunteer, you’ll help welcome and direct artists to their assigned tents so they can unload and begin setting up for the event.
This role is all about coordination and support — no heavy lifting required. You’ll assist by guiding traffic flow, keeping an eye on artists’ materials as they unload, and helping the set-up process run smoothly and efficiently.
It’s a fast-paced, high-energy shift where time flies. Some volunteers may be asked to wear high-visibility jackets when working near the curbside to ensure everyone’s safety.

Be the face of Riverdale ArtWalk! As part of the Show Crew, you’ll support both artists and visitors throughout the event. Responsibilities include welcoming and directing the public into the show, handing out flyers, answering general questions (or referring visitors to the Information Booth), and occasionally standing in an artist’s tent so they can take a short wellness break.
This is a customer-facing role that helps create the atmosphere of the event — positive energy, friendly engagement, and happy, smiley faces are a must!
Of course, you'll be wearing our signature pink cap! And lunch is on us.

| Volunteer Team Leader | Jimmie Simpson Park, 872 Queen St East (Queen E/Logan) | Jun 06, 2026 9:00 am - 2:00 pm | 1 | 5 |
|
message
The Team Leader plays a vital coordination role at Riverdale ArtWalk. Responsible for checking in volunteers at the start of their shift, you’ll ensure everyone understands their assigned role and feels confident in their responsibilities.
Team Leaders oversee volunteer flow throughout the event, making sure breaks are taken regularly and that support is provided where needed. With many of our volunteers being young adults and teenagers, their safety and wellbeing are our top priority.
This role also serves as a key liaison between volunteers, the Show Director, and the Show Logistics Manager — ensuring clear communication, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and helping the event run smoothly from start to finish. Strong communication skills, attentiveness, and a calm, supportive presence are essential.
