Everyday Georgetown's historic downtown offers a vast selection of premier shopping and dining and on Second Saturday Market Days there is even more! We strive to provide a unique selection of retail and food vendors that complement our fabulous downtown businesses. You will find a wide variety of artisan, craft, food trucks, cottage food, business services and retail vendors. Grab a bite to eat and enjoy live entertainment by local musicians all day long. About the application

We’re gearing up for another Downtown Georgetown Association Market Days — and we’d love for you to join us again! Your time and heart help makes our events a wonderful success, filling the Square with joy and community spirit. Because of dedicated volunteers like you, families from near and far continue to make this cherished Georgetown tradition. Our market operates from March through November. Spring and fall market hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and summer market hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We are seeking cheerful, dependable volunteers to assist in the following areas: • Event setup, including placing signage throughout the event area and hanging banners at our booths • Assisting vendors with load-in • Staffing the DGA Information Booth throughout the day and providing the community with information about the event and other DGA initiatives • Event breakdown, including load-out and takedown at the conclusion of the event Whether you can volunteer for a few hours or all day, your time helps create a warm, welcoming experience for everyone who visits the event. Georgetown Christmas Stroll Volunteer Terms and Conditions Volunteer Acknowledgment By signing the question below, I acknowledge that I am participating as a volunteer for Market Day, organized by the Downtown Georgetown Association. I understand that I am not an employee, agent, or contractor of the Association and that I will not receive wages, compensation, or benefits for my participation. My involvement is voluntary and done for community benefit. ________________________________________ Commitment & Attendance Volunteers are expected to honor their scheduled shifts and arrive on time. If a volunteer is unable to attend, they must provide a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to the volunteer coordinator so adjustments can be made. ________________________________________ Conduct & Behavior Volunteers are representatives of the Downtown Georgetown Association and are expected to act respectfully, courteously, and professionally at all times. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior toward staff, vendors, participants, or fellow volunteers will not be tolerated. Volunteers are expected to follow all instructions given by event staff and coordinators. ________________________________________ Alcohol, Drugs, and Smoking Policy Consumption or possession of alcohol or illegal drugs while volunteering or while wearing volunteer identification is strictly prohibited. Volunteers may not report to their shifts under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Smoking and vaping are only allowed in designated areas. ________________________________________ Liability Waiver I understand that participating as a volunteer may involve risks, including but not limited to physical activity, exposure to weather, and interaction with the public. By signing below, I release and hold harmless the Downtown Georgetown Association, the City of Georgetown, event sponsors, and their representatives from all claims, liabilities, or damages arising out of my participation as a volunteer. ________________________________________ Medical Treatment Authorization In the event of an injury or medical emergency, I authorize event staff or emergency medical personnel to administer necessary care or arrange transportation for further medical attention. I understand that I am responsible for any medical costs incurred because of such treatment. ________________________________________ Safety & Compliance Volunteers agree to follow all event safety procedures, emergency protocols, and staff directions. Closed-toe shoes and appropriate attire are required. Volunteers must immediately report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the volunteer coordinator. ________________________________________ Dismissal Policy The Downtown Georgetown Association reserves the right to dismiss any volunteer at any time for failure to follow instructions, misconduct, or behavior that negatively reflects on the event or organization. ________________________________________ Volunteer Meeting Requirement All volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation meeting, either in person or online, prior to the event. This ensures everyone understands their role, schedule, and safety procedures. ________________________________________ Agreement & Signature By signing the question below, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to abide by the Market Day Volunteer Terms and Conditions.
