Pride in the Park 2026, hosted by Pride Beaverton, is back for its 9th fabulous year - brighter, bolder, and gayer than ever! This joyful community celebration transforms Beaverton City Park into a glittering, rainbow-soaked festival of queer joy and togetherness. Expect a dazzling mix of local artists, queer performers, crafty makers, community nonprofits, and mouth-watering food vendors, all coming together to create a warm, family-friendly, and fiercely inclusive space where everyone under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella AND every fabulous ally belongs. Join us for a day filled with music, sparkle, drag, laughter, pride, and pure community magic as we celebrate diversity, uplift queer voices, and honor the beauty of being unapologetically ourselves.

Pride in the Park would not be possible without our incredible volunteers. From welcoming guests and supporting performers to keeping our spaces safe, inclusive, and joyful, volunteers are the heartbeat of this celebration. By volunteering, you are helping create a Pride event that is accessible, affirming, and community-centered. Your time, energy, and care directly support LGBTQIA+ visibility, connection, and celebration in our community. Whether this is your first Pride or your tenth, we are so grateful you’re choosing to show up and be part of something meaningful. Thank you for volunteering to be part of the team that makes Pride in the Park a safe, joyful, and unforgettable experience for everyone. As you go through this application, be sure to choose your top three favorite areas—we’ll try to get you your first pick, but if it’s full, we’ll hook you up with one of your other faves. Terms & Conditions

To ensure Pride in the Park runs smoothly and safely, all volunteers are expected to agree to the following terms and conditions: *Shift Commitment: When you sign up for a volunteer shift, you are committing to prioritize showing up on time and staying for the full duration of that shift. We rely on accurate volunteer coverage to keep the event running smoothly. *Communication & Attendance: If an emergency arises and you are unable to attend your shift, you must notify the Volunteer Team as soon as possible so we can adjust coverage. *Area Assignments & Flexibility: Volunteers will be assigned to areas based on event needs and volunteer preferences. While we do our best to honor top choices, team leaders may reassign or move volunteers on the day of the festival to areas with greater need. Flexibility is essential to the success of the event. *Following Leadership Direction: Volunteers agree to follow instructions from Volunteer Team Leaders, Area Leads, and Event Staff to ensure safety, efficiency, and a positive experience for all attendees. *Professional & Inclusive Conduct: Volunteers are expected to act respectfully and uphold Pride in the Park’s values of inclusion, equity, and community care. Discrimination, harassment, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. *Safety & Preparedness: Some roles may involve standing for extended periods, working outdoors, or physical activity. Volunteers agree to work within their abilities and communicate any concerns to their team lead. *Representation of the Event: As a volunteer, you represent Pride in the Park. We ask that you engage with attendees, performers, vendors, and fellow volunteers in a welcoming, affirming, and supportive manner. By submitting this application, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to these expectations and are committed to supporting Pride in the Park to the best of your ability.

This is a high-impact shift that lays the foundation for a successful day. During this shift, volunteers may assist with: --Helping vendors load and unload supplies and equipment --Decorating the park with Pride flags, banners, balloons, and signage --Setting up information tents, volunteer check-in areas, and community resource booths --Placing garbage, recycling, and compost bins throughout the park --Setting up tables, chairs, barricades, and wayfinding signage --Supporting stage, parade, or family area preparations --Assisting team leads with last-minute tasks as needs arise Volunteers should be prepared for outdoor work, walking throughout the park, and light to moderate physical activity. This shift is fast-paced, collaborative, and a great fit for volunteers who enjoy hands-on work and being part of the behind-the-scenes magic. Your early-morning support makes it possible for thousands of community members to arrive to a welcoming, organized, and joyful Pride celebration—thank you for being part of the start of the day!

This shift is all about welcoming the community and making sure everything is ready as attendees arrive. During this shift, volunteers may assist with: --Completing final setup tasks across the park --Welcoming attendees and providing directions and event information --Supporting basic vendor needs --Staffing information booths and community resource areas --Assisting with parade or march lineup and coordination --Supporting stage and entertainment schedules --Monitoring cleanliness and helping keep shared spaces tidy, collecting trash --Assisting Safety & Accessibility by helping guests locate accessible routes, seating, and services --Filling in where needed as crowd flow and event needs shift Volunteers should expect a mix of light physical activity, guest interaction, and teamwork. This shift is ideal for friendly, flexible volunteers who enjoy helping others and being part of the excitement as Pride in the Park comes to life. Your support during these opening hours helps set the tone for a welcoming, inclusive, and joyful Pride celebration—thank you for being there as the day begins!

message Volunteers scheduled for the 3:00pm–6:00pm shift support the final hours of Pride in the Park and help with a smooth transition from festival activities to end-of-day breakdown. This shift plays an essential role in wrapping up the event safely and respectfully. During this shift, volunteers may assist with: --Supporting festival activities and late-day attendee needs --Providing directions, information, and general assistance as the event winds down --Supporting vendors, performers, and activity areas with end-of-day needs --Assisting Safety & Accessibility by helping guests navigate the park and locate services --Helping maintain cleanliness and clear walkways as crowds begin to exit --Assisting with load-out for vendors and event teams --Taking down decorations, signage, tents, tables, and chairs --Collecting supplies and supporting park clean-up Volunteers should be prepared for flexibility and moderate physical activity as responsibilities shift throughout the afternoon. This shift is ideal for volunteers who enjoy helping close out the festival and ensuring Pride in the Park leaves the space better than we found it. This shift is all about cleanup, teardown, and supporting vendors and staff as the festival wraps up. During this shift, volunteers may assist with: --Breaking down tents, tables, chairs, and signage --Packing up decorations, banners, and supplies --Helping vendors and event teams load out equipment --Collecting trash, recycling, and compost, and tidying shared spaces --Returning rented or borrowed items to designated areas --Assisting team leads with final walkthroughs to ensure the park is restored Volunteers should be prepared for physical activity, including lifting, bending, and walking throughout the park. This shift is perfect for those who want to see the event through to the finish and help ensure Pride in the Park ends safely, respectfully, and ready for the next celebration.
