Volunteers scheduled for the 6:00am–9:00am set-up shift help bring Pride in the Park to life before the festival opens. This is a high-impact shift that lays the foundation for a successful day.
During this shift, volunteers may assist with:
--Helping vendors load and unload supplies and equipment
--Decorating the park with Pride flags, banners, balloons, and signage
--Setting up information tents, volunteer check-in areas, and community resource booths
--Placing garbage, recycling, and compost bins throughout the park
--Setting up tables, chairs, barricades, and wayfinding signage
--Supporting stage, parade, or family area preparations
--Assisting team leads with last-minute tasks as needs arise
Volunteers should be prepared for outdoor work, walking throughout the park, and light to moderate physical activity. This shift is fast-paced, collaborative, and a great fit for volunteers who enjoy hands-on work and being part of the behind-the-scenes magic.

--Packing up decorations, banners, and supplies
--Helping vendors and event teams load out equipment
--Collecting trash, recycling, and compost, and tidying shared spaces
--Returning rented or borrowed items to designated areas
--Assisting team leads with final walkthroughs to ensure the park is restored
Volunteers should be prepared for physical activity, including lifting, bending, and walking throughout the park. This shift is perfect for those who want to see the event through to the finish and help ensure Pride in the Park ends safely, respectfully, and ready for the next celebration.
