Terms & Conditions

Christmas on the Square 2025 – Volunteer Terms & Conditions Event Date: December 13, 2025 | Check-In Location: Chamber Trailer on Pierce Street By signing up for a volunteer shift for Christmas on the Square, you agree to the following: Eligibility & Sign-Up • Volunteers must be 13 years or older. • You may sign up for multiple shifts and multiple volunteers may sign up for the same shift—please note this when registering. Check-In / Check-Out • Arrive 10 minutes before your shift to check in and receive instructions. • Check in and check out at the Chamber Trailer so your hours can be recorded. • Volunteers must stay for the entire shift unless dismissed by Chamber staff. • The Chamber can verify and sign off on hours after the event if needed. Volunteer Duties Roles may include: • Kid City: helping with children’s activities and maintaining a safe, friendly environment. • Photos with Santa: helping families take photos with Santa. • Street Barricades: monitoring barricades for safety (no directing traffic). Volunteers must follow all instructions from Chamber staff. Conduct Expectations • Be positive, courteous, and professional with guests, families, and vendors. • No confrontational behavior, inappropriate language, vaping, smoking, or alcohol. • Volunteers must defer all decisions to Chamber staff—do not make independent operational or safety decisions. Safety & Liability • Volunteering is done at your own risk. • Report any injury, hazard, or issue immediately to Chamber staff. • The Burnet Chamber of Commerce is not liable for injuries, accidents, lost items, or damages arising from volunteer participation. • You agree to release and hold harmless the Chamber and its agents. Media • Photos or video may be taken; you grant permission for the Chamber to use images for promotional purposes. Agreement By submitting your volunteer registration, you confirm that you: • Have read and agree to these terms • Are volunteering of your own free will • Accept personal responsibility for your participation • Agree to follow all Chamber staff instructions
