Volunteer Description: Christmas in the Park Event Overview: Join us in spreading holiday cheer at Christmas in the Park, a beloved community celebration featuring dazzling lights, festive music, and family-friendly fun. Volunteers are at the heart of making this magical event happen — helping create joyful memories for everyone who attends! Volunteer Roles May Include: Set-Up Crew: Assist with decorating, setting up booths, signage, and light displays before the event begins. Hospitality & Guest Services: Greet visitors, provide information, and help guide families through the park activities. Activity Booth Assistants: Help with crafts, games, or photo opportunities with Santa and other attractions. Food & Beverage Support: Assist food vendors or distribute complimentary treats like cocoa and cookies. Clean-Up Crew: Help take down decorations, collect trash, and leave the park sparkling after the event. Entertainment Support: Assist performers, manage sound equipment, or coordinate performance schedules. Volunteer Requirements: Friendly, reliable, and ready to spread holiday cheer! Comfortable working outdoors (dress warmly and festively). Able to stand or walk for extended periods. Attend a brief orientation before your shift. ? Volunteer Terms and Conditions — Christmas in the Park Thank you for joining us as a volunteer for Christmas in the Park! To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please review and agree to the following terms and conditions: 1. Volunteer Commitment Volunteers agree to arrive on time for their scheduled shift(s) and check in with the Volunteer Coordinator upon arrival. If unable to attend, volunteers must notify the coordinator as soon as possible so replacements can be arranged. Volunteers agree to perform their assigned duties responsibly and follow event staff instructions at all times. 2. Code of Conduct Volunteers must treat all guests, staff, and fellow volunteers with kindness and respect. Alcohol, drugs, and smoking/vaping are strictly prohibited during volunteer hours. Volunteers are expected to maintain a positive, family-friendly attitude throughout the event. No harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will be tolerated. 3. Safety and Liability Volunteers must follow all safety procedures and report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to event staff immediately. Volunteers understand that they may be photographed or recorded during the event and consent to the use of their image for promotional purposes. Volunteers acknowledge that participation is at their own risk and agree not to hold the event organizers, sponsors, or the City responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur. 4. Age Requirements Volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their consent form. Certain volunteer roles may have minimum age requirements due to safety regulations. 5. Property and Equipment Volunteers agree to treat all event property, decorations, and equipment with care. Any damage caused by negligence may be the responsibility of the volunteer or their guardian. 6. Confidentiality Volunteers may not disclose any confidential or personal information they learn during the event, including guest or vendor information. 7. Dismissal Policy The event organizers reserve the right to dismiss any volunteer who fails to comply with these terms, disrupts operations, or behaves inappropriately.
